The South Carolina Federation affiliated with the NFRW in 1961. There are six districts and 25 local clubs.
SCFRW offers campaign management schools and leadership training seminars in conjunction with biennial conventions. The annual Legislative Day has featured a political forum with the Republican women in the state legislature, a legislative briefing by members of the house and senate and a reception at the governor's mansion.
SCFRW has sponsored billboards across the state that read, "Vote Republican ... It's a Vote for America." Local clubs and their members sponsor candidate debates and participate in get-out-the-vote efforts and voter registration drives. Members have worked on campaigns at the local, state and federal levels, both as volunteers and as paid campaign staff.
Members serve in elected positions and on appointed boards and commissions as state representatives, county auditors, court clerks, and on school boards, city councils and election commissions.
