The Mississippi Federation is organized into four districts composed of 21 clubs. Member efforts are geared toward recruiting, training and electing Republican candidates; advocating the Party's philosophy and initiatives, and empowering women of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds in the political process.

Members are mainstays in all aspects of political forums and campaign activities throughout the state. Mississippi is clearly a Red State, with Republicans having seven of eight statewide elected officials and super-majorities in both the State House and Senate.

Legislative Day is held annually in Jackson. Clubs participate in community service projects such as Caring for America, Support Our Troops and Old Soles for Souls.

The Mississippi Federation was a long-time supporter of the State's efforts to implement voter ID, which became a reality in 2014.

In January 2016, the Mississippi Federation hosted a tea for over 300 attendees, honoring Mississippi's First Lady Deborah Bryant as part of the inaugural festivities of newly re-elected Governor Phil Bryant.

A life-long Republican, Dana grew up in West Virginia, where her father served as the Chairman of the WV Republican Party. After working in Washington, DC, she and her husband, Col. J.K. (Hoopy) Stringer (USMC Ret.), moved to his home state of Mississippi in 1993.

Dana quickly became involved in Republican politics, volunteering for numerous campaigns for candidates running for county, state and federal offices. She has served as the Vice Chairman of the Rankin County Executive Committee since 2003 and on the State Executive Committee since 2008. She has served as an officer in the Mississippi FRW since 2006, holding positions of Treasurer, Third Vice President and First Vice President prior to being elected President in October 2015.

Dana currently serves as a member of the Mississippi Ethics Commission, having been appointed by Governor Phil Bryant in 2012, and is actively involved in her church as well as many other civic organizations.

She is the proud mother of an 19-year-old college sophomore daughter.
