Kentucky

Mrs. Simeon Wells, the governor's wife, met with a group of women to form the Kentucky Federation in 1947. KFRW affiliated with the NFRW that same year. Club members are active in political campaigns and community service. Huda Jones, a former state president, served as NFRW president from 1990 to 1993.

Kentucky elected the first Aftican American woman as our Republican Lieutenant Governor November, 2015. Jenean Hampton was sworn in December 8, 2015. She is a member of the KFRW. Kentucky also elected a Republican Governor, and three state constitutional officers at this election.

Allison Ball, KY State Treasurer is the youngest female in the nation election to a constitutional office, and Ryan Quarles, Agriculture Commissioner is the youngest elected constitutional official in the nation. Kentucky prides itself with the elections of young influential Republicans.

State President

Barbara is a retired executive of nonprofit organizations, with over 25 year's experience as the CEO/Ex. Director. She has provided consulting services through SCORE for start-up nonprofit organizations for over 5 years, and has provided consulting services through SCORE to nonprofit organizations who are in need of organizational support. All of these services through SCORE are provided free-of-service. She holds a Master's degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, lives in Lexington, KY with her husband, has 3 children, and 7 grandchildren. She and her husband travel internationally on a regular basis, and enjoy the Carribbean during winter months. Barbara was elected for a second term beginning Jan. 1, 2017 - Dec. 31, 2018.
